I am Jim Karlock. I was born and raised in Portland.

Over the past few years, I have had growing concerns about traffic jams, sprawling apartments and overcrowding. I became even more concerned when I discovered that this building was proposed in my low density neighborhood on N.E. Fremont St. (note the typical one to two story businesses further down Fremont St). But the final event that made me place statements in the voter's pamphlet and create this web site, was when I discovered that METRO was trying to deceive us. I feel very strongly that the government was designed by us to serve us. Not to manipulate us. I feel that METRO is trying to manipulate us with their measure 26-29 because, as far as I can tell, it really does NOTHING.
